    We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Climate Risk Analyst.

    The Group Wholesale Impairment and Stress Testing team which is part of the Wholesale Credit Management function are hiring for a Climate Risk Analyst. The Climate Risk Analyst will be responsible for reviewing data to assist the team in identifying any risks or exposures. This role will also be involved in additional responsibilities for second line review of regulatory and climate risk stress testing.

    In this role, you will:

    • Review data and extract patterns and trends and use findings to relay this information in a clear and concise manner.

    • Analyse potential loss and risk and will also carefully review how much exposure there is in certain sectors.

    • Use your knowledge on external market trends to analyse what affects this may have to the Wholesale Impairments team.

    • Will work with teams on climate programmes to assist on shaping how climate losses will be reported in future.

    Requirements

    To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

    • Prior experience in Credit Risk or a Risk background within 1st line.

    • Must hold either Python, SAS or SQL skill set.

    • Hold previous experience in analysing large pieces of data and using findings to relay this information to wider teams where necessary.

    • Comfortable with numbers, analysing and recognizing patterns.

    • Wholesale or Retail Impairments experience would be ideal.

    • Must hold strong communication skills.

    The base location for this role is London / Hybrid.
