Responsibilities

  • Being accountable for workflow performance ensuring daily Service Level Agreements are met
  • Establishing the most effective and efficient processes for the business, including referrals by operatives and customers both within and outside the department
  • Resolving contentious customer enquiries ensuring excellent customer service is maintained, without referral but escalating where appropriate
  • Ensuring departmental Risk and Controls Framework is reviewed regularly and assurance activity detailed
  • Taking ownership for risk issues and procedural failures, ensuring no further recurrence and updating Risk and Control Framework if appropriate
  • Being responsible for validating work processed across the global teams, undertaking QA, error review and loss analysis to drive performance offshore reducing unit costs

    As a Barclays Payment Investigations and Data Analyst, you will be responsible for providing operational support for investigations and data processes, maintaining in-depth knowledge, and driving proactive stakeholder engagement. This is an opportunity to help maintain accurate and timely processing of payment investigation and data requests within agreed deadlines. Part of the role will also be managing the analysis of existing work practices to identify and implement areas for improvement.

    What will you be doing?

    What we're looking for:

    • Proven experience in a fast paced and elevated risk Customer Services area and ability to prioritize highest risks against time and cost issues

    • Exceptional PC skills and ability to work under pressure autonomously and meet challenging deadlines

    • Significant amount of experience in a complex analytical role, often reviewing extensive amounts of data to implement a solution

    • Detailed knowledge and understanding of risk requirements, tools, practices and procedures applicable to relevant policies and processes

    Skills that will help you in the role

    • Significant experience in financial or accountancy environment, including complex problem resolution working under own initiative

    • Proven experience in an Operational and Audit environment
