  • Support the development and delivery of the Maritime Naval Ships Personnel Security Policies and Insider Threat Strategy
  • Support the Security Operations Manager in any security investigations, ensuring the effective collation of information and completion of follow up actions
  • Provide specialist advice to the Maritime Naval Ships Security Function in the implementation of personnel security requirements and act as SME to other Business Functions
  • Ensuring the quality, secure handling and data sharing complies with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
  • Monitoring and reporting of security systems to ensure any risks are identified and appropriately recorded and reported
  • Support the improvement of security culture by raising personnel security awareness across all functions of the Business, including Line Manager awareness to be able to identify and flag concerning changes in behaviour
  • Monitor and risk assess Joiners, Movers, Leavers
  • Monitor and oversee all security vetting activities for Naval Ships

    Your skills and experiences:

    Essential

    • Previous experience working in a similar role
    • Be able to demonstrate an ability to build, develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, partner agencies and maintaining total confidentiality throughout
    • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to take a systematic approach to analyse and investigate security issues and to develop solutions or improvements
    • Ability to work on you own initiative

    Desirable

    • Defence background
    • Experience of the implementation or operation of security policies

    The BAE Systems Security Function:

    The function oversees personal security for Naval Ships across the UK. You will be supporting the application of personnel security policy, standards and procedures which seek to mitigate the risk of employees, contractors and visitors exploiting their access to an organisation's assets for unauthorised purposes.
