Responsibilities

  • Providing guidance, support, and guardrails for executives regarding social media practices
  • Helping manage forward-facing editorial calendars for the executive social media program, with coherent content pillars for each participating executive
  • Coordinating content calendar aligning with executive's priorities for engaging with third party content, other business lines' content, and other financial influencers on social media
  • Helping coordinate logistics on local content capture (photos, videos, vlogs/blogs, etc.), arranging for timely reviews and approvals
  • Supporting corporate social media channels by identifying opportunities for cross-promotion between executive and corporate channels
  • Monitoring the social activity on executive accounts to detect and flag brand safety issues in a timely manner and advise on the appropriate response(s)
  • Assisting in all social media content approvals to ensure that they meet regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Harnessing data and analytics to deliver reporting on social KPIs on a regular basis to convey trends and optimization techniques for building an executive presence

    As a Barclays Executive Social Media Manager, Assistant Vice President, you will support the executive social media program. You will contribute to the creation of each executive's content strategy and help execute on plans to build out the executive team's presence on social media. This is an opportunity to work across internal partners, including Chiefs of Staff, legal, compliance, communications, and external agencies, developing content aligned with the objectives of the business and the thought leadership plans for each executive.

    Salary / Rate Minimum: 100,000

    Salary / Rate Maximum: 125,000

    What will you be doing?

    What we're looking for:

    • Bachelor's Degree and three years of use and daily management of social media platforms

    • Experience with platforms such as Sprinklr and Hearsay

    • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop

    • Prior experience with executive communications

    Skills that will help you in the role:

    • Knowledge of financial services communications regulatory requirements, domestic and international

    • Outstanding judgement and decision-making skills

    • Excellent oral and written communications skills

    Where will you be working?

    You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 32-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
