    A Calculation Compliance function is being established to deliver an ongoing, high-quality and formalised capability to provide sufficient comfort to management that non-conformance of calculations with regulation that impacts Regulatory Reporting is detected on a timely basis as part of the First Line of Defence control framework.

    The primary purpose of the Calculation Compliance function is to perform independent assessments of Non-model Calculator (NMCs) compliance with relevant capital and/or liquidity regulatory rules and provide sufficient comfort to management that non-conformance is detected on a timely basis as part of the First Line of Defence control framework. Areas of non-compliance are identified in formal Assessment reports for transparency and remediation is tracked at formal governance.

    In this role, you will:

    Requirements

    • Responsible for reviewing adherence of complex calculation logic with the regulatory rules and HSBC Policy determinations. Engage with policy SMEs as required.

    • Working knowledge of HSBC businesses and products and the regulatory reporting environment.

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to convey subject matter expertise in a specific area to a wide audience including senior stakeholders.

    • Ability to clearly articulate findings where the regulatory rules and HSBC policy determinations are not being met which requires explanation of complex technical issues.

    • Team leadership and people development skills

    Location for this role is London on a hybrid basis
