  • Effectively managing personnel security risks as part of a programme of periodic assurance checks, including the ongoing identification and monitoring of personnel security concerns
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of an Insider Threat Governance Framework (policies/processes) aligned with the Industry Personnel Security Assurance (IPSA) requirements
  • Supporting the design and implementation of effective mechanisms to enable the identification, assessment and mitigation of personnel security risks
  • Devising and generating accurate reporting metrics and trend analysis in order to understand and mitigate personnel security risks
  • Identifying vulnerabilities in/with the business' processes and developing metrics that directly relate to their management and remediation
  • Contribute to the development of the Insider Threat capability through process, people and technology where appropriate
  • Supporting/leading the development and implementation of concise processes, that enable the security function and wider function to be risk informed and intelligence led

    Salary: £47,683+ – depending on skills and experience

    What you'll be doing:

    · Effectively managing personnel security risks as part of a programme of periodic assurance checks, including the ongoing identification and monitoring of personnel security concerns

    Your skills and experiences:

    · Good understanding of government and industry standard security policy, standards and best practice guidance

    · Background of prior experience of working in an personnel security environment (Government or commercial sector) environments

    · Experience of, or a qualification in behavioural analysis and/or Insider Threat/Aftercare

    · Strong analytical background with the ability to analyse and interpret large and complex data sets and articulate observations, conclusions and recommendations

    · Proven experience and/or knowledge of risk identification mitigation and management techniques.

    · Experience using reporting and analysis toolsets

    Governance & Functional Capability team:

    This role reports to the Insider Risk Lead within the Governance, Risk and Assurance team. You will work across all level of professionals across the business in the identification, assessment and mitigation of personnel security risks.
