    Job Title: Analysis & Design Project Manager

    Location: Portsmouth Broad Oak, we offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

    Salary: Up to £65,000 depending on skills and experience

    This is a great chance to work on the T26 programme, one of the biggest programmes within BAE Systems. This is an opportunity for the individual to lead the T26 Training programme. The company's success depends on maintaining high standards of customer service and quality delivery. Given that there will probably be many TAFs under contract at any given time, the capacity to multitask and adjust to shifting priorities is essential.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Accountable for the T26 Training team (circa 40 people), project budget, performance, and results
    • Direct line management of a small team of project professionals
    • Tracking and driving project financials, including Contract Status Reports, invoicing, and monitoring spend versus forecast

    Your skills and experiences:

    • Project Delivery experience working with high value projects
    • Recognised as a Project Manager practitioner
    • Able to resolve project related problems that do not have routine solutions
    • Commercially and financially astute
    • Experience with Project Life Cycle Management
    • Knowledge of good Bid practice and process
    • Awareness of Business Development and keen to develop this further
    • Possesses strong and refined communication and diplomacy skills, capable of influencing internal and external stakeholders
    • Project Management qualification, degree or equivalent
    • Supplier Management is desirable

    The Analysis and Design team:

    In order to plan and carry out all contracted analysis and design training as well as business development, this position is a crucial management position in the analysis and design team, with extensive project management expertise acquired by practical experience.

    Apart from Type 26, there are many smaller contracts that need to be delivered in shorter amounts of time, frequently to new and expanding customers. The Portfolio Lead will benefit from these contracts if attention is kept on them in terms of timeliness, cost, and quality.
