    What you will be doing:

    • Provision of an Aerodrome Control service
    • Delivery of an Approach Radar service (UK FIS in Class G) and Lower Airspace Radar Service
    • Providing a Special Tasks (Test) Service
    • Submitting Met Observations in a timely fashion
    • Assisting in the administrative processes of the unit as directed by the Manager of ATS and supporting the change management process and review of procedures
    • Maintaining a thorough understanding of the applicable regulations and processes

    Your skills and experiences:

    Essential

    • Current UK/CAA licence (including a valid Class 3 medical certificate) including Aerodrome and Approach Surveillance ratings
    • Aerodrome Control service experience, Approach Radar service (UK FIS in Class G) and Lower Airspace Radar Service experience
    • ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 6

    Desirable

    • Special test task controller experience
    • Previous validated experience of providing a Military Area Radar service
    • Hold a OJTI/ Assessor ratings and Aeronautical Meteorological Observing Certificate

    The Air Traffic Control Team:

    The Air Traffic Control team operates as a cohesive unit of skilled Air Traffic Controllers. What sets them apart is their unique skill set with area test, a distinctive feature within the field. Comprised of experienced professionals, the team also boasts the expertise of former military senior leaders. Their responsibilities encompass three primary disciplines: tower operations, radar control, and crucial support for Warton's exceptional testing and development capabilities for military fast jets in the United Kingdom. You will be working at the only military fast jet-manufacturing site in the UK with a mix of military and civil activity, being involved in the test and development of the flight platform.
