Responsibilities

  • Developing personal capabilities using existing formal and informal training opportunities;
  • Providing support to team managers, specifically when organising and planning month end deliverables;
  • Completion of month end activities and also review of month end activity carried out by other colleagues within the team;
  • Taking ownership of control issues or balance sheet breaks, ensuring that these are owned and remediation action plans are in place;
  • Collaborating closely with a large number of internal teams including stakeholders within other GFS and Retail Finance teams. In addition there will be extensive liaison with Divisional Business and Operations teams, Finance Platform colleagues and external auditors;
  • Taking the responsibility for the running of debrief meetings, driving continuous improvement initiatives which will create efficiencies within the team.
  • Working with wider Finance teams and Change teams to ensure that Financial Control matters are considered in Transformation, including managing the ongoing change impact on source system reconciliations;

    JOB TITLE: Assistant Manager Transport Controls and Reporting

    LOCATION: Bristol

    HOURS: Full time

    WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days a week) in our Bristol office.

    You'll join us in Group Finance Support (GFS), a team of c600 colleagues within the Finance Division, providing centralised support and expertise to the rest of Finance and the Business.

    This role sits within the Retail Financial Control & Reporting team in GFS, who are responsible for the financial control and reporting of subsidiary legal entities within Lloyds Banking Group.

    We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking candidate to support financial control and reporting activities for a number of entities within the Lloyds Banking Group Transport portfolio.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Accountancy qualification/part qualified accountant or qualified by experience
