    Director, Corporate Responsibility - 12-month Fixed Term Contract

    We have an exciting opportunity for a 12-month FTC for an experienced corporate responsibility professional to join GSK's reputation and responsible business team.

    You will be joining a high performing team who are truly leaders in their field. You will demonstrate the ability to drive change in an organisation, influence, and meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders. You will have experience of working in a large, complex business, and have detailed knowledge of responsible business issues, human rights and the fast-evolving external reporting landscape.

    This role sits in the Responsible Business team within Global Affairs. The team's accountabilities include ESG strategy, governance and insights; delivering GSK's ESG reporting and understanding relevant external trends and regulation; responses to investor ratings/indices; ESG investor engagement; and oversight of human rights.

    Responsibilities will include:

    Human rights

    • Overseeing GSK's human rights programme, working with relevant business functions to deliver against the agreed action plan, including impact assessments.
    • Delivering annual human rights update to the GLT and Board, along with relevant reporting including GSK's Modern Slavery Act Statement.
    • Working with external advisors to monitor relevant legislation and agree actions to ensure GSK is compliant with legislation.
    • Keeping up to date with relevant external human rights developments and participating in external working groups such as the BSR Human Rights group.

    ESG Performance

    • Develop annual metrics for GSK's ESG Performance Ratings (a corporate KPI).
    • Work with the ESG reporting hub in finance to ensure high quality updates for the ESG Performance Rating are reported to GLT and Board in timely manner.
    • Complete ESG surveys, including the Workforce Disclosure Initiative and other investor related indices.
    • Collaborate with investor relations to deliver quarterly ESG content for press release and relevant senior manager briefings.
    • Develop ESG messaging and briefings for senior leaders, including preparation for investor meetings, and working with IR to respond to investor queries.

    Horizon scanning

    • Stay well informed on ESG trends and insights and share with internal stakeholders to improve responsible business practices.
    • Oversee the monitoring of the ESG regulatory reporting landscape to stay ahead of legislation.
    • Oversee relevant reporting regulatory gap assessments/actions where needed.

    Why you?

    We are looking for an experienced responsible business professional who has proven experience working in an ESG team.

    • Proven experience of delivering ESG work
    • Experience delivering human rights impact assessments and programmes across a matrixed organisation
    • Ability to write papers/updates for senior leadership, including GLT and the Board
    • Excellent knowledge of ESG reporting requirements
    • Strong written and verbal communication
    • Ability to think strategically
    • Prior experience in a large, complex organisation
