Responsibilities

  • Ensure the Supply Chain maintains appropriate levels of consumable assets to meet the required performance levels in line with business financial targets and Performance Indicators
  • Being responsible for planning inventory requirements aligned to the TyTAN Contract ensuring that other functional areas are aware of where control of the asset lies
  • Determining any requirements for re-provisioning to maintain identified resilient stock levels and support customer flying hour targets
  • Identify spikes in consumption and investigate any change that may affect cost and availability
  • A customer focused role, looking into future requirements, establishing working interfaces, processes and procedures and advising where necessary
  • Delivery of work involving provision of advice and guidance to others, regarding the definition or interpretation of IF&P (Inventory Forecasting and Planning) policy, or explanation of future implications/consequences, in support of a decision/appropriate course of action
  • Adhere to current Quality and Governance regulations to ensure the airworthiness of assets within the Inventory

    What you'll be doing:

    Your skills and experiences:

    • Knowledge and experience of Supply Chain working in support of military aircraft
    • Competent IT skills and knowledge / awareness of Supply Chain Contracted IT Systems including MJDI, Resolve and SharePoint
    • An awareness and understanding of the requirement for Continuous Improvement
    • An understanding of an Availability Contracting environment (including TyTAN)
    • Knowledge of the working practices of the RAF and UK MoD

    The Supply Chain Strategic Planning Team:

    The key responsibility of this role is to make recommendations based on demand analysis and planning assumptions for the re-provisioning of spares to maintain consumable stock levels. Meeting current and future Royal Air Force Typhoon Fleet commitments globally whilst optimising spares scoped within the TyTAN Contract. The post holder will liaise directly with other Supply Chain/ Logistical and Engineering stakeholders across the Typhoon platform to offer the most cost effective and expedient solution to address Risk Of Run Out.
