  • Updating Windchill PLM with mature parts, systems, occurrences and compartment data to ensure it correctly presents the baseline design
  • Preparing technical equipment specifications; develop designs in line with all specifications and standards and co-ordinate with suppliers to ensure delivery to the agreed specification
  • Supporting Design Reviews and Zonal Reviews
  • Developing Ship design specifications under guidance and carry out Engineering Design activities in line with specifications and all quality and technical standards, examples being development of outfit packages and General Arrangements
  • Participating fully in developing, maintaining and modifying Outfit processes and procedures in assigned areas in response to technical developments and operational need
  • Co-ordinating with systems engineers and detail designers on the integration of Outfit systems
  • Liaising with customers and/or suppliers in assigned areas on engineering matters

    Salary: Up to £41,457 depending on skills and experience

    What you'll be doing:

    Your skills and experiences:

    Essential:

    • Experience in an Outfit Ship Design environment
    • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to management and peers
    • Minimal experience in engineering or a defence related industry

    Desirable:

    • Possesses good knowledge of most aspects within current discipline
    • Able to perform analysis using recognised analytical tools and to make sound judgements
