  • The business facing first contact point for the Indirect Procurement Services function
  • Supporting the internal business stakeholders to optimise their effective use of the Indirect Procurement Services
  • Working with key internal stakeholders, identify and propose new and updated procedures related to best practice in Procurement Category Management
  • Promptly addressing any escalations from internal business stakeholders
  • Managing the end-to-end procurement process for procurement projects within your remit and supporting on Business Partnering team projects when required
  • Being involved at all stages of the project lifecycle starting with stakeholder and demand management, sourcing and tendering, contract negotiation and supplier management
  • Ensuring great supplier and stakeholder relationship engagement
  • Negotiate and agree contractual terms on behalf of BAE Systems, ensuring suppliers are appointed onto the appropriate terms and conditions
  • Proactive in delivering stakeholder focused Category Management

    Salary: £58,000+ Dependent upon experience

    What you'll be doing:

    • The business facing first contact point for the Indirect Procurement Services function

    Your skills and experiences:

    Essential:

    • Procurement experience with knowledge of Category Management
    • Experience of senior stakeholder management
    • Proven knowledge in contract negotiation and supplier management

    Desirable:

    • Knowledge of Contract Management – Highly technical contract knowledge
    • Experience of initiating and delivering end to end procurement projects
    • Working with large spend previously – at least £10 million
    • MCIPS qualification

    The Indirect Procurement Business Partnering team:

    As a primary link between internal stakeholders and Indirect Procurement Services, you'll drive procurement efforts across all Business Units. Your role will involve agile collaboration, ensuring effective service delivery, and building strong relationships with internal teams. Travel may be necessary to support stakeholders, and you'll also contribute to broader business initiatives, gaining insights into BAE Systems' operations.
