Responsibilities

  • Being accountable for Production stability, Service availability and Governance
  • Having an ongoing liaison with Shared services team, upstream and downstream application teams to manage SLA expectations
  • Engaging with development team to ensure value driven delivery with agility and stability balance
  • Having an ongoing liaison with Barclaycard C&C, BIM's/MIM's to manage escalated incidents
  • Leading Incident and Problem Management through to resolution, Operational escalation point for Incident, Problem, Change, Release and Configuration Management
  • Ensuring and promoting ITIL best practices for Incident, Problem, Change, Release management
  • Accounting for the introduction of new/changed services (Application Onboarding, Decommission) and engaging with BTB management to deliver

    As a Barclays RTB Application Support Engineer, you will ensure the continued availability, effectiveness and accuracy of production systems primarily for Global Fraud services and its related applications in support of the business. This is an exciting opportunity to be a point of contact for the issues affecting the operations of the bank's Fraud business during US hours and for on call covering during UK/US hours and during weekends.

    What will you be doing?

    What we're looking for:

    • Experience in production support

    • High energy, hands-on and results & goal-oriented

    • Knowledge in banking or financial sector, especially Data Support

    • Solid grasp of and experience in SDLC (both Waterfall and Agile)

    Skills that will help you in the role:

    • ETL Concepts (DataStage, AbInitio etc.,), Open Systems such as (Linux/Unix, Windows)

    • Competence of alerting & Monitoring tools like AppD , ELK, Netcool, Kibana

    • Experience or competence on Application Hosting Platforms such as Websphere, JBoss, Apache, Tomcat

    • Experience or competence on Network Technologies such as Load Balancers & Firewalls
