    Job Title: Supply Chain Contracts Manager

    Location: Scotstoun and Govan – Onsite

    Salary: £46,000 – £52,000 – dependent on experience and qualifications

    Responsible for established Procurement Contract(s) for the build and delivery phase of a highly complex Naval Ships programme. In this delivery phase, the role involves coordinating the activities of the supplier with the Ship Builders and Engineers to deliver equipment and installation services to schedule and cost; managing budgets.

    What you'll be doing:

    · Manage the supplier responsibilities during delivery, installation and commissioning of key equipment on the ship

    · Work with Engineering, Operations and Quality to deliver equipment from suppliers that meets our specification, quality, schedule and cost requirements

    · Lead these multi discipline activities – e.g. weekly project reviews with suppliers, Factory Acceptance Tests of equipment, quarterly business reviews, in yard supplier visits etc.

    · Manage the contract with each supplier:

    o Manage delivery of agreed milestones to cost and schedule

    o Negotiate any contract change with suppliers

    o Investigate and resolve claims for delay or poor performance

    · Use the ERM system to manage Purchase Orders and other deliverables

    · Report monthly and quarterly on cost and schedule performance

    · Lead on cost by actively pursuing cost reduction or cost avoidance activity, often requiring multi stakeholder buy-in

    Your skills and experiences:

    Essential:

    · Experience of direct procurement complex environments

    · Experience of managing complex contracts in a delivery phase

    · Commercial acumen

    · Able and comfortable communicating at many levels – from shop floor to senior management

    · Strong communicator and influencer

    Desirable:

    · MCIPS qualified or equivalent, working towards CIPS or suitable experience in a relevant role

    · Experience of Project Management methodologies and techniques
