Responsibilities

  • Responsible to shape deal in accordance with Deal Framework principles, including driving Steer Committees within the Bid and Contracting lifecycle
  • Building and managing the Bid Plan ensuring that the all activities are completed and that the customer deliverables are made on time
  • Creating the proposal, ensuring customer focus and clear articulation of the Vodafone value proposition using the APMP best practice principles
  • Risk management –ensuring all risks are understood, mitigated or accepted by the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Attend Key Customer meetings and workshops and co-create commercial propositions with customers that will address their needs and maximise the value Vodafone can extract from them. This includes reactive responses to formal RfQ's as well as proactive engagement with customers on long-term strategic initiatives where a consultative approach is required.

    Role Purpose:
    The Senior Bid Manager is responsible to drive large and complex bids for Vodafone's largest customers and responsible for actively leading all large commercial related Bids across IoT, influencing the team to ensure deals are profitable, deliverable and winnable.
    The role will be a customer facing role that align closely with the sales teams to ensure deep understanding of the customer's business challenges and the creation of commercial strategies and proposals for increasingly complex
    deals that deliver growth to the regions.
    The role will deliver thought leadership, innovative deal structuring and commercial expertise that mitigates risk and contributes to the growth of the region. Continuous improvement, is a key part of the role, standardising and harmonising processes, tools, and templates within the team and with other key stakeholders.

    Who you are
    Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

    •Deep understanding of Industry including Global competitive landscape
    •Experience of leading and influencing virtual teams.
    •Experience of delivering and managing Complex Bid Opportunities
    •Strong Communication & Stakeholder Management up to C level
    •Strong sense of prioritization, pace and focus
    Must have technical / professional qualifications:
    •Experience of telecommunications industry or comparable
    •Experience of multi-national, multi-region virtual team management, and proven ability to function within matrix organisations
    •University degree in quantitative subject and postgraduate business qualification or minimum 5 years' experience in an analytical environment
    •Ideally APMP Qualified to Foundation level (as a minimum). If not formally qualified then demonstrable experience of a structured approach to Bid Management or comparable experience, in line with the principles of the APMP is a requirement
