Responsibilities

  • Working collaboratively with the VP Operational Volume Interlock to provide robust and interlocked forecasts flowing from volumes to FTE to cost
  • Providing sound and robust challenge and debate on initiatives, ideas and thought leadership to help translate vision and direction into robust strategy and plans
  • Providing accurate insight to allow for cost/service/other trade-offs when needed to meet both short-term and long-term commitments
  • Working flexibly with colleagues across Customer, Product and Operations to produce a fully integrated plan and maintain a clear and robust data book
  • Improving continually planning processes and expanding coverage as the quarterly integrated planning process evolves
  • Influencing and building collaborative relationships with senior leaders across BUK to enable greater alignment and generate strategic options

    As a Barclays Business Planning Operations, you will be responsible for providing robust and interlocked forecasts flowing from volumes to FTE to into the BUK Quarterly Planning cycle. The role is a key input into the quarterly plan which integrates customer plan, product plans, commercial plans and operational. You must have a combination of strategic, analytical, and stakeholder management skills, and success in this role demands stakeholder management and financial skills coupled with data presentation skills.

    This role will be based from either London or Northampton.     What we're looking for:

    • Must have a banking operations background

    • Solid financial and data presentation skills

    • Business planning experience

    • Relationship building, stakeholder management and great communication skills

    Skills that will help you in the role:

    • Ability to run workshops

    • Data visualisation experience and proficiency (Tableau, InDesign, Power BI)

    • Understanding of business strategy and ability to ensure projects are delivering to that strategy

    • Knowledge of manipulating reports and analysing data to put forward recommendations and suggest new way of working

    Where will you be working?

    London:

    In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links. With a population of around 5000 staff the atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.

    Northampton:

    Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. This state-of-the art energy efficient building holds up to 2,500 staff. The office location is perfect for travel from the midlands and London alike as we are based just off the A45, it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
