    Job description

    Full Stack Engineering, HSBC Technology & Services (USA) Inc., Chicago, IL:

    Responsible for working across the technology delivery lifecycle including inception, construction, testing, release and ongoing management of a product or service in a pod within a technology team supporting a Commercial Credit Card business line. Continually enhance the skills within a number of specialisms which include front end, development, security, testing and operational support. Support US Corporate Cards and lead and drive multiple exciting strategic growth initiatives.

    Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, Pay range: $157,500 to $160,000 per year.

    Requirements

    Must have a Bachelor's Degree or a foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related field, and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate related work experience.

    Must have 5 years of experience in:

    · Driving end-to-end technology solution delivery including ideation, design, software development, testing and operational support activities;

    · Managing accountable project delivery milestones, risks, finances, team supply and demand;

    · Directing and influencing non-directly managed resources in support of US commercial cards objectives;

    · Collaborating across disciplines including business, product team, infrastructure, architecture, development and testing to deliver new software-based products or experiences;

    · End-to-end accountability for a product or service, identifying and developing the most appropriate technology solutions to meet customer need;

    · Collaborating with product owners and business stakeholders, develop and execute a roadmap of capabilities and product enhancements;

    · Establishing a digital environment and automate processes to minimize variation and ensure predictable high-quality code and data;

    · Creating technical test plans and records, including unit and integration tests, within automated test environments to ensure code quality; and,

    · Technical platform stability and performance issues (performance, operator intervention, alerting or design defect related issues) are identified and addressed at all stages of a product or service release/change, while consistently driving a culture of continuous improvement to increase availability while managing cost.

    Must have 2 years of experience in:

    · Major cloud platform, such as Google Cloud Platform, DevOps and cloud-native tools;

    · Google Cloud Platform, containerization, Kubernetes, virtualized infrastructure, Jenkins DevOps automation, Java, Python and developing, testing and implementing internal and externally facing APIs;

    · Total Systems TS2 commercial credit card processing, interfaces and commercial account hierarchy and structure;

    · Critical TSYS files and interfaces, notably the TSYS DEF file layout, structure and record types; and

    · Refactoring and migrating COBOL mainframe-based workload to Cloud technologies ad platforms.
