Responsibilities

  • Supporting oversight of Governance Artefacts required to meet Change Delivery Control Standards
  • Assisting in monitoring & measuring completion of controls against the defined thresholds
  • Reviewing and validating projects, where failures (or breaches) occur these need to be identified and reported through the appropriate channels
  • Reporting adherence via Key Indicators (KIs) to Chief Controls Office (CCO) & Strategic Investment Change Management (SICM)
  • Partnering with Governance, Standards and Controls owners to continually improve Change Delivery Control Standards (CDCS)
  • Supporting delivery of communications and training on updates to controls and standards
  • Contributing actively to building a community of practice to share ways of working, continually improve and shape the PMO of the future
  • Establishing and maintaining guidance for complex/nonstandard Governance queries that cannot be answered via the Change Hub

    As a Barclays Control Assurance Analyst, you will be part of Group Functions and Enterprise Data Technology Portfolio Management Team – Assurance who provide Financial Management, Reporting, Communications Policy and Controls Assurance services across the Group Functions and Enterprise Data Technology Portfolio. You will provide pragmatic advice, guidance and assurance on the use of tools, methods and good practice, to ensure effective project governance is in place to enable technology teams to successfully deliver their business outcomes.

    What will you be doing?

    What we're looking for:

    • Project Management/Governance and Control experience (lifecycles/methodology)

    • Flexible and adaptable working style, capable of rapidly building trust

    • Self-starter, innovative with the ability to multi-task & deliver quality results under tight deadlines

    • Change advocate capable of adapting to new ways of working

    Skills that will help you in the role:

    • Formal external qualification/accreditation in project/Programme management methodology

    • Experience of assuring the delivery of transformation programmes

    • Excellent PC skills, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word

    Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. This state-of-the art energy efficient building holds up to 2,500 staff. The office location is perfect for travel from the midlands and London alike as we are based just off the A45, it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
