Responsibilities

  • Overseeing customer and payment screening day-to-day processes while ensuring adherence to local procedures and creating a more robust control environment
  • Performing analysis on extracted data to guide Operational areas and Financial Crime team with a focus on Risk Control
  • Coordinating of the development and perform analysis of data to understand forecasting and business needs and engaging internal/external stakeholders to screening process
  • Helping identify, escalate, and document risk events associated with AML Operations and regional screening in a timely manner
  • Helping with ad hoc queries from Financial Crime leadership and engaging relevant internal/external stakeholders
  • Managing and reviewing requests for information related to internal audits and regulatory exams
  • Contributing to and acting as a subject matter expert for AML Operations and Customer Screening related projects
  • Assessing trends and themes related to Financial Crime and customer and payment screening to identify risks and corresponding mitigants

    As a Barclays AML Operations Screening Vice President, you will be accountable for having oversight, managing customer and payment screening, and supporting various functions within Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Operations. You will be in charge of planning and executing of processes related to screening activities including but not limited to managing volumes and workflows in accordance with service level agreements. You will also be involved with assistance and participation in internal and external BSA/AML audit and examinations.

    What will you be doing?

    What we're looking for:

    • Proactive, motivated individual able to plan and prioritize own workload with minimum supervision and able to adept and respond accordingly to changing regulatory environment

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, five plus years of AML, Financial Crime, and/or Customer Screening experience

    • Interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to work with in a fast-paced team environment

    • Written and verbal communication skills and Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc

    Skills that will help you in the role:

    • Master's degree preferred

    • Relevant professional certifications: ACAMS or CRCM

    • Several years of Financial Crime experience with an understanding of AML, Sanctions, and politically exposed persons screening

    • Five years of experience managing teams in an AML/CFT retail banking/credit card banking environment
