  • Defining and executing the planning system and tooling roadmap and budget, in alignment with the Business Planning and Roadmap process
  • Establishing and enforcing best practices, standards, and processes for selecting and implementing planning systems and tools
  • Assessing and understanding the needs, challenges, and opportunities for planning systems and tooling, and translate them into clear requirements and specifications
  • Evaluating and comparing different software options, based on criteria such as features, functionality, cost, usability, and security
  • Selecting and negotiating with the best software vendor and ensuring the contract terms and conditions are favorable and compliant
  • Overseeing the design, configuration, customization, integration, testing, and deployment of the selected software solution, and ensure its quality, performance, and security

    As a Barclays Business Planning Implementation, you will be responsible for selecting and implementing an integrated planning solution that supports our business planning and execution. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire selection and implementation process, from identifying the business needs and requirements, to evaluating and choosing the best software solution, to ensuring its successful deployment and adoption.

    This role will be based from either London or Northampton.     What will you be doing?

    • Proven track record of successfully selecting and implementing off the shelf planning systems and tools for large-scale and complex projects

    • Proficiency in business analysis, project management, and change management skills and techniques

    • Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external parties

    • Excellent leadership, management, and communication skills

    Where will you be working?

    London:

    In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links. With a population of around 5000 staff the atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.

    Northampton:

    Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. This state-of-the art energy efficient building holds up to 2,500 staff. The office location is perfect for travel from the midlands and London alike as we are based just off the A45, it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
