Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Business Planning Director to lead the development, implementation, monitoring and refining of a robust multi-year integrated planning process for BUK
  • Establishing and enforcing best practices, standards, and processes for project management, such as project charter, project plan, risk register, status report, etc
  • Being responsible for assessing and understanding the business needs, challenges, and opportunities for integrated operational and financial planning
  • Coordinating and facilitating the planning process across customer, product, workforce management operations and finance functions
  • Monitoring and tracking the progress, performance, and outcomes of the plan, and report on the status, issues, and risks to senior management and stakeholders
  • Conducting regular reviews and feedback sessions to ensure the alignment and integration of the plan across the organization and resolve any conflicts or discrepancies

    As a Barclays Business Planning Project Management, you will be responsible for managing the project management of the BUK Quarterly Integrated Planning Process for our integrated operational and financial plan cycle. This role will require someone with solid agile project management expertise, and the ability to partner with all aspects of the business to deliver high quality planning inputs to the Business Planning team.

    This role will be based from either London or Northampton.     What will you be doing?

    What we're looking for:

    • Change or transformation management and programme management experience

    • Problem Solving, experience of implementing or transforming a process; ability to select the best approaches

    • Experience of using modern project management tools like Jira, confluence, Tableu, especially modern project roadmapping tools like Roadmonk, Product board, etc

    • Detail-oriented with a solid sense of ownership and responsibility

    Skills that will help you in the role:

    • Experience working in and leading an operations of a bank

    • Confident in understanding business strategy and ensuring projects are delivering to that strategy

    • Manipulate reports and analyse data to put forward recommendations and suggest new way of working

    • Graduate calibre with significant commercial management experience across a number of business disciplines

    Where will you be working?

    London:

    In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links. With a population of around 5000 staff the atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.

    Northampton:

    Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. This state-of-the art energy efficient building holds up to 2,500 staff. The office location is perfect for travel from the midlands and London alike as we are based just off the A45, it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
