Responsibilities

  • Medicine Plan Tracking and Management (including Launch Plans).
  • Track and maintain medical plan in Smartsheets (support data-entry and maintenance).
  • Support tracking progress/status against UMAP activities to provide status of deliverables and alignment to budget; provide reminders on due dates.
  • Schedule execution checks when needed.
  • Follow-up with business owners on progress and completion of activities.
  • Coordinate complex business processes for pre-specified activities (not responsible for completing activities, documentation or approvals).

    As the US Medical Project Manager for the US Medical Affairs Specialty Therapeutic Area (TA) you will be responsible for providing process, discipline, and structure to support effective planning and execution of the Medical Plans and effective running of the Medical Matrix Teams.

    This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

    • Medicine Plan Tracking and Management (including Launch Plans).
    • Track and maintain medical plan in Smartsheets (support data-entry and maintenance).
    • Support tracking progress/status against UMAP activities to provide status of deliverables and alignment to budget; provide reminders on due dates.
    • Schedule execution checks when needed.
    • Follow-up with business owners on progress and completion of activities.
    • Coordinate complex business processes for pre-specified activities (not responsible for completing activities, documentation or approvals).

    Support of Medical Matrix Team meetings:

    • Schedule meetings and collate agenda items/pre-reads.
    • Scribe for meetings; capturing and circulating meeting outcomes and decisions.
    • Track meeting actions and follow-up with action owners.
    • Generate pre- and post-meeting communications.
    • Archive content in an appropriate repository that is readily available for team reference.

    Support of Annual Business Planning process:

    • Support calendar, tracking and timelines.
    • Provide process support for planning meetings (i.e., scribe, call for agenda, action tracking).
    • Complete budget and/or other required templates.
    • Collate materials and plans.

    Coordinate processes related to reporting, including but not limited to Medical Impact Framework quarterly reports and monthly outcome dashboard.

    Areas for scalability in role depending on TA needs:

    • Help prepare materials needed for organizational presentations.
    • Secure System approvals as business owners' delegate – where appropriate per process.
    • Act as a trusted business partner to the USMA Enterprise, Global Franchise and US Pharma and drive continuous improvement by introducing innovative ideas and identifying better ways to creatively streamline ways of working.
    • Lead special projects for TA-wide initiatives.

    Basic Qualifications:

    We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

    • Bachelor's Degree.
    • 1+ yrs Pharmaceutical Industry.
    • Leading, managing and working collaboratively with internal cross-functional teams, with and without authority.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

    • Experience in process management, operations, and budget management.
    • Working in large matrix organization, preferably Medical.
    • Expertise in managing senior stakeholders, communication planning and change management
    • Proven team player with strong interpersonal skills and leadership abilities.
    • Understanding of GSK matrix and organizational functions.
    • Understanding of US Medical Affairs ways of working preferred
    • Smartsheet + basic Microsoft 365 (Outlook, OneNote, Teams, Office).
