Responsibilities
- Develop and implement maintenance policies, procedures, and programs to ensure the efficient operation of construction equipment, machinery, and facilities
- Plan and schedule preventive maintenance activities to minimise downtime and maximise equipment reliability
- Coordinate with project managers and construction supervisors to prioritise maintenance tasks and allocate resources effectively
- Oversee the inspection and testing of construction equipment and facilities to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Supervise maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors, providing guidance and support to ensure quality workmanship and timely completion of tasks
- Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies necessary for maintenance activities, optimising inventory levels and controlling costs
- Evaluate equipment performance and recommend upgrades or replacements as needed to improve efficiency and productivity
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to minimise disruptions to construction operations
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and expenditures for reporting and analysis purposes
