Responsibilities

  • Leading executing change required to deliver against agreed outcomes of this large scale and complex programme across the functional, business, technology and operations teams
  • Developing and managing the plan, and approach for the execution – optimising timelines, resources and ensuring a solid focus on incremental and agile delivery
  • Accounting for the set up and management of governance, working with the respective leads to manage working groups and management meetings as required to support delivery
  • Co-ordinating and controlling of delivery, ensuring execution is interlocked across work streams, risks and issues are identified and escalated to resolution effectively
  • Providing regular and effective communication of updates and changes to senior internal management/ leadership
  • Being accountable for project budget, tracking of budget, ensuring ongoing costs and capitalisation meet MTP and budget requirements
  • Maintaining a future focus, looking ahead to ensure any risks or dependencies are managed effectively

    As a Barclays Programme Manager, you will lead and manage the execution risk effectively, deliver on our Group strategy and satisfy all our stakeholders. As a team, we must deliver our initiatives consistently and transparently. You will have an exciting chance to interact with stakeholders from Group Executive Committee level down and will be involved running working groups and interacting with a wide range of stakeholders across the bank.

    What will you be doing?

    What we're looking for:

    • Large scale programme management and governance experience

    • Ability to master and navigate new subject domains quickly

    • Exceptional analytical and presentation skills

    • Experience of working with multiple senior stakeholders across Business, Technology, Operations and Group Functions i.e. Risk and Finance.

    Skills that will help you in the role:

    • Experience in working in the Sustainability & Environmental, Social and Governance (S&ESG) space

    • Experience in delivering change with respect to regulatory commitments

    Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. This state-of-the art energy efficient building holds up to 2,500 staff. The office location is perfect for travel from the midlands and London alike as we are based just off the A45, it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
