  • Being responsible for testing Driven Development of working software in C# and diverse associated toolsets
  • Actively participating in agile team ceremonies including planning, stand ups, retrospectives, story mapping
  • Understanding the business needs in depth from Product Owner and direct business liaison
  • Feeding back on and help to enhance acceptance criteria on stories
  • Demonstrating passion to create quality software to enable sustainable delivery
  • Being responsible for creating automated tests to demonstrate acceptance criteria are met
  • Helping champion best practices around Agile development and Software Craftsmanship
  • Making significant contribution to the solution and emergent technical architecture - working with the Architecture Owner and other leads

    As a Barclays Full Stack Developer, you will be part of the ALM technology team who are a diverse transformation team facing off to senior Group Treasury stakeholders. The team collectively build and support a suite of applications and processes that deliver key metrics and reporting to ALM and Risk - ultimately enabling Barclays Treasury to robustly manage Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book. You will support and strengthen the team so that it can sustain delivery quality and velocity against numerous project and BAU deliverables.

    What will you be doing?

    What we're looking for:

    • Excellent C# and SQL development skills

    • Extensive Application Development SDLC experience

    • Excellent analytical abilities and problem solving, particularly in complex data domains

    • Excellent Communication – verbal and written

    Skills that will help you in the role:

    • Exerperience in WCF, WPF, Angular, Bootstrap, RESTful APIs and Web API development in general, AWS,

    • Experience in SignalR/Websockets /ASP .net Core /Web Api /REST/ .net Core/ Python/ Angular /SQL Server

    • Knowledge of QRM and/or Risk Management integration or build experience

    Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. This state-of-the art energy efficient building holds up to 2,500 staff. The office location is perfect for travel from the midlands and London alike as we are based just off the A45, it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
