Responsibilities

  • Partner with US and global Communications colleagues and PR agencies to plan, co-create, edit and publish strategically aligned content to our corporate social media and web channels
  • Develop digital strategy plans that are objective and audience focused and have a clear measurement plan
  • Contribute to the US and global corporate digital content calendars; support prioritization of content; and deliver campaigns with maximum impact and across all target audiences, internal and external
  • Advise on asset creation and paid amplification and audience targeting, often partnering with in-house Visual Identity team and Paid Social team
  • Create simple visuals with creative tools
  • Measure and analyze social and web metrics for each campaign to create insights and best practices, advising colleagues and agencies for continual improvement and optimization
  • Contribute to digital and social media capabilities training and upskilling to stakeholders and colleagues
  • Operate and publish to social media management platform, Sprinkler
  • Operate and publish to web platform, Umbraco
  • Advise on and experiment with new digital trends and tactics, such a AI tools.
  • Perform daily online monitoring of the GSK brand, and report back insights, opportunities or issues using social listening platform, like Brandwatch
  • Assist the GSK Response Center periodically in responding to direct messages from customers
  • Champion working with influencers and community advocates to improve the reach and impact of GSK's content

    GSK is looking for a digital content manager to join its fast-paced Digital Communications team. Part of the US Corporate function, this team works closely with the Global Digital team in London to manage GSK's US and global corporate social media and web channels, as well as with the in-house Paid Social and Visual Identity teams to create and amplify high quality content.

    The person in this role will partner closely with US and global communications colleagues to plan, co-create, edit and publish brilliant audience-focused digital content across our channels. The team is not only responsible for creating and publishing campaign content, but also for advising on the right integrated digital strategy, best ways to amplify the content, measuring and analyzing impact via metrics, effective storytelling and experimenting with new trends and digital tactics. Drawing on data and best practices plus understanding audiences is key to success.

    This role in digital communications requires a unique combination of being able to bring the GSK narrative and story to life via exceptional writing and visual skills, plus having a deep technical understanding of the channel and platform capabilities and how to navigate and troubleshoot within them to reach the right audience. This is not a product marketing role, but instead the focus is on bringing awareness to GSK's science and innovation, our commitment to preventing disease (disease awareness), our efforts in the DEI space, our community and global health work, our sustainability goals and efforts, and our outstanding people.

    Why you?

    Basic Qualifications:

    We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • 5+ year's experience in producing digital (web and social media) content for external audiences
    • 5+ year's experience in communications, digital, tech or marketing role
    • Experience managing social media channels and issues monitoring, including through platforms like Sprinklr and Brandwatch
    • Experience in analyzing social media metrics and applying digital insights to set targets for and constantly improve content and campaigns

    Preferred Qualifications:

    If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

    • First class writing, editing and visual storytelling skills for digital
    • Deep knowledge of external social media platforms and how they can be leveraged to deliver content strategy
    • Significant experience in creation of digital content plans and executional calendars for corporate activity
    • Ability to create on-brand and high quality visual content (eg. photography) and or moving image for use on social media channels
    • Knowledge and experience in executing paid/sponsored campaigns
    • Knowledge of website publishing and management
