Responsibilities

  • Lead, empower, mentor and inspire a hard-working customer focused KAM sales team, setting clear expectations of success, achieving the agreed strategy and all performance metrics with responsibility for effective budget management.
  • Have strong understanding of the market dynamics and drivers impacting the performance of the business at a local, regional and national level and across multiple brands. Work with the cross functional team to adapt the UK approach as needed to ensure competitiveness and success. This will include evaluation of multifaceted data sources including market research, analytical data, environmental information and customer insight.
  • Present business performance regularly to Lead Team and participate in above country performance reviews, demonstrating knowledge, performance mindset and executive presence.
  • Be accountable for the development of the skills, capabilities and mindset of the KAM team so that they can succeed personally and professionally, being seen as a partner with our customers because of the credible value they provide.
  • Ensure ethical leadership and full compliance with all ViiV policies, Industry Codes, and regulations whilst proactively contributing to the broader UK ViiV culture and business strategies as a member of the UK ViiV Extended Lead Team. Tackle additional projects aligned to this.
  • Represent the UK at the European sales leader Network, to craft strategic and tactical plans and ensure the needs and challenges of the UK business are understood, whilst sharing best practice with counterparts from other EU countries. Build positive relationships as part of this

    Job Purpose

    The First Line Sales Leader (FLSL) role is essential to the success of ViiV UK. Accountable for leading, empowering, mentoring and encouraging a team of Key Account Managers (KAM) to support the delivery of the UK commercial strategies. This is made possible through the development and execution of strong local plans and the development of a team who have the skills, capabilities and mindset to succeed and be the best they can be. This role collaborates with many different roles in a matrix environment and is a member of the Extended Lead Team.

    In this role you will

    Why you?

    Basic Qualifications & Skills:

    We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

    • Degree level, certified healthcare professional or other relevant experience
    • People leadership and mentor experience, or ability to demonstrate transferable skills/other proven experience closely linked to this
    • Breadth of NHS knowledge and understanding
    • Proven track record to interact with external customers
    • Demonstrated ability to analyse and assimilate data
    • Demonstrated commercial foresight, resourcing, planning and decision-making skills, as well as account management experience and skills, or equivalent
    • Possess current ABPI certification or ability to attain certification within 1 year in role

    Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

    • Experience leading cross-functional matrix teams
    • Project management skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and social capacity, prioritisation and problem-solving skills with high sense of responsibility and accountability
