    The Investor Coverage/Business Development Team is responsible for supporting the team in building and managing relationships with the premier investors in the ecosystem and supporting their portfolio companies. This includes establishing and driving new business opportunities, introducing new products across a portfolio of companies, and collaborating with the broader Innovation Banking team and HSBC to deliver value to our clients and partners.

    Here's what you can expect:

    As our Associate, this individual will work closely with internal teams and collaborate on new business development opportunities within the venture capital ecosystem. The associate will specifically be working within the Investor Coverage & Business Development team that manages relationships with venture capital firms and drives business development efforts for the Innovation Banking organization.

    The role will include collaborating with cross-functional internal teams to ensure holistic delivery of the HSBC platform, creating materials in preparation for and to utilize in meetings with venture capital firms, data analysis to augment coverage and market engagement efforts, driving reporting and other processes within the team, and general support for the Investor Coverage & Business Development team.

    For this role, HSBC targets a fixed pay range between $100,000 and $175,000.

    The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

    Requirements

    You'll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

    • 1 – 2 years of experience working with Relationship Managers or Sales members, and providing data-driven insights
    • Experience and interest in the venture capital ecosystem, venture fundraising and technology trends
    • Highly proficient in Excel, Microsoft, PowerPoint
    • Proficient in data analysis and/or strong use of data software (Tableau, SQL, etc.)
    • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and research skills
    • Bachelor's degree
