Responsibilities

  • Being responsible for generating insight through research, internal & external benchmarking, industry best practice knowledge and wider micro and macro-economic analysis
  • Being responsible for creating and owning a portfolio of benchmarks per area, function and activity to be utilised across all Cost Transformation projects
  • Producing “White Papers” on current business challenges, industry leading solutions and how the Cost Transformation team can support in delivering elements of the solutions
  • Acting as the insights and best practice expert for all Cost Transformation activity and lead for the discipline
  • Supporting the PODs and Enterprise Programmes where required with relevant insights and benchmarks, to help them set the right targets and ambition
  • Setting the approach for the team to the development and standardisation of presentation packs and reports that can be used across all projects of the portfolio

    As a Barclays Cost Transformation - Insights Lead, you will be responsible for researching, generating and sharing best practices and in-depth insight on transformation, operations and finance, mainly focusing in banking and financial services. Utilising external and internal sources, a key requirement of the role is to leverage their specialist technical expertise to act as advisory for the business on best practices across multiple disciplines that can deliver customer and financial benefits.

    This role will be based from either London or Northampton.     What will you be doing?

    What we're looking for:

    • In depth market knowledge and understanding on banking, financial services and wider transformation trends

    • Expert analytical and agility in approach and thinking and problem-solving

    • Proven expert in creating professional documents that can be presented at Board level and external stakeholders

    • Project management experience

    Skills that will help you in the role:

    • Able to provide healthy challenge and alternative creative solutions to progress at speed and with quality delivery

    • Effective and efficient project management skills

    • Project management/financial qualification

    • Implementation experience

    Where will you be working?

    London:

    In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links. With a population of around 5000 staff the atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.

    Northampton:

    Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. This state-of-the art energy efficient building holds up to 2,500 staff. The office location is perfect for travel from the midlands and London alike as we are based just off the A45, it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
