Responsibilities

  • Managing and overseeing all finance system changes, implementation and testing
  • Working with the Barclays sourcing team to agree the contractual requirements for the changes aligned to Barclay's policies
  • Delivering the testing plan to ensure sufficient testing is performed and evidenced prior to going-live with system changes
  • Collaborating with the Barclays Technology team to develop and oversee the project plan and interaction with the vendor and finance team
  • Working with the external vendor to agree and develop the project plan and changes to be implemented to the finance system
  • Being responsible for the testing plan to ensure sufficient testing is performed and evidenced prior to going-live with system changes
  • Overseeing the costs of the finance system change project

    As a Barclays Systems Accountant, you will manage the implementation of changes to the UKRF's on-premise finance system, followed by the transition from on-premise to cloud based (hosted) finance system. You will be leading on the engagement between the vendor, Barclays Technology and Sourcing teams and be the link with the UK Retirement Fund finance team as the customer of the system. This is an opportunity to be responsible for the finance design of processes and agreeing these with the finance team and vendor for implementation.
