    Job Title: Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

    Salary: £50,000 Dependant on experience

    What you'll be doing:

    • Supporting and delivering the functional objective to continuously improve supply chain quality
    • Working in conjunction with procurement and programme teams to proactively identify and address supply chain quality issues and drive continuous improvement activities
    • Continually reducing the number of defects during the manufacturing cycle at BAE Systems through improved supplied quality
    • Supporting and executing risk-based annual audit plan, prepare, execute, measure and monitor and ensure timely closure of findings
    • Developing, maintaining and enhancing manufacturing processes
    • Improving supplier performance

    Your skills and experiences:

    Essential:

    • Effective stakeholder management and collaboration
    • The ability to support quality investigations including root cause analysis methodologies
    • Knowledge of business management systems and associated processes
    • Experience of capability evaluations of new sources
    • Ability to constructively challenge and drive an improvement based culture

    Desirable:

    • Aerospace or automotive experience
    • Knowledge of business improvement techniques
    • Knowledge of quality certification and regulatory standards

    The Technical Supply Chain team:

    Joining the Electronic Systems business, this is an opportunity to join a technically orientated team, focused on developing supplier capability and technical troubleshooting as part of the wider procurement organisation.

    You will be a key individual within design and development, whilst working closely with global suppliers and key stakeholders, giving you wide exposure.
