Job title: Data Engineer

Salary: £39,316+ dependent on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:

• Identifying data sources which can be harvested and transformed through ETL into a Data Model
• Generating and enhancing Maintenance and Reliability Reports
• Work within the software configuration process and associated documentation to work in harmony with the Data Engineering Team
• Routinely provide status updates to team leader and stakeholder group

Your skills and experiences:

• Relevant STEM degree, e.g. Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Strong ability to engage with customers and external contacts to source and understand data and its structure
• Good SQL knowledge and experience of working with various data sets.
• Knowledge of SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, ETL, Tableau, Tableau Prep, and Jira is desirable but can be trained
• Understanding / experience of military domain, platforms, process, ethos advantageous

The team:

This is an exciting vacancy for a Data Engineer (or someone with a strong SQL Skillset looking for a career in Data Engineering) to join the Through Life Engineering organisation with the opportunity to work within the Data Services team across multiple contracts.

You will work within the Data Engineering team provisioning data sources, creating ETL flows and developing data models reports and occasionally dashboards utilising multiple technologies such as SQL, SSIS, Tableau etc
