Responsibilities

  • Leads all aspects of the planning and execution of the overall Proposal development effort throughout the lifecycle including RFIs, PQQs and main bid responses ITT/ITN/RFP/RFQs
  • Leads the Proposal Team through all Proposal aspects of Capture activities, including, budget administration, resource and facilities estimation and development and execution of the Bid/Proposal Management Plan
  • Defines, tailor and implement a suitable Proposal process in coordination with the Capture Leader, helping to select reviewers and organise key Proposal reviews to assure Proposal quality and compliance
  • Manages the business approval process, any security and export approvals and the final editing, production, and Proposal delivery arrangements
  • Directs writing/ editing/ rewriting efforts as needed to maintain schedule and ensure that all proposals are tracked and kept to agreed deadlines and quality standards
  • Supports the development and co-ordination of support documentation such as elevator briefs, orals presentations on behalf of the Capture teams
  • Supports and promotes Business Development tools e.g. Business Winning Toolkit, Capture Plan Templates, Bid Content Library
  • Works closely with Creative Services to identify graphics requirements, ensuring the graphic tells the appropriate story to support messaging and maximise impact and understanding
  • Manages any re-submission or clarification activities through to contract award (LCM Phase 2B)

    Salary: Circa £55,000 – £60,000 Depending on Skills and Experience

    Your skills and experiences:

    Essential:

    • Proposal Writing qualification (APMP CF or APMP CP) or a Degree in a relevant field
    • Able to lead specific proposals in support of the largest most complex proposals and more specifically those that redefine the shape of the business rather than “typical” business
    • Experience of understanding complex customer requirements. Translating into appropriate solutions and delivering within budget/timescales
    • Experience of operating within a customer environment
    • Significant proposal management experience – likely with a specialist focus

    Desirable:

    • Background in MOD / Defence bid writing
