Job Title: Commissioning Project Lead – Electrical – (PTS)

What you'll be doing:

• Responsible for leading a team of Electrical Engineers in the Propulsion Test Section
• Responsible for planning and supervising commissioning activities
• Responsible for overseeing Electrical Rip outs for the Propulsion Section
• Reviewing and authoring test documentation in relation to the Propulsion Test Section
• Reviewing and planning training and development of electrical engineers within the section
• Deputising for the Propulsion manager in their absence and act as temporary lead, covering all Propulsion section meeting
• Being a signing member of the Propulsion Test Group
• Liaising with other test departments to ensure safe control of work

Your skills and experiences:

• Knowledge of either Propulsion or Power Distribution systems from a commissioning or maintenance background
• Experience of SAP
• Good understanding and experience of Safe Systems of Work
• Experience of reviewing electrical and technical documentation and drawings
• Previous Team Leader / Supervisory experience
• Min of HNC or equivalent in an Electrical Engineering subject
• Review and approval of electrical isolations (Rip-Out/Tag-outs)

The Commissioning Project Lead team:

As a Commissioning Project Leader – PTS Electrical, you will be responsible for managing commissioning activities of all propulsion electrical systems on Astute class submarines. This role will provide you with the opportunity to work across multiple platforms giving you exposure to different systems and technologies. You will be given lots of training to develop further within your career.
