  • Capability Strategy – Design and deliver upon a capability strategy that provides appropriately SQEP resource to all programmes and Supply Chain function in the short, mid and long term. Covering: People Capability/ Organisation Capability/ Development of New Capability
  • Capability Planning & Risk Mitigation – Analyse and understand functional capability and develop strategic actions and mitigations to address risks and exploit opportunities, in conjunction with SMEs as appropriate
  • Long Terms Skills Analysis – Development, maintenance and delivery of a Functional Long Terms Skills Analysis and Workforce Plan and the associated proposed supply solutions
  • Career Frameworks Including Early Careers – Accountable for the development and maintenance of the career framework and role profiles aligning with Maritime or P&S approaches as appropriate. This includes developing functional early career requirements, business case, functional placement frameworks and allocation of exit roles in line with functional resource requirements
  • Health & Wellbeing Programme – Oversee and manage Supply Chain's Health & Wellbeing Programme
  • External & Internal Engagement and Communication – Develop content and implement a range of communication and engagement interventions aligned with the wider Supply Chain strategy, to improve awareness and drive performance, working in close collaboration with relevant Programmes, Functions, Sector & Group

    What you'll be doing:

    Your skills and experiences:

    • Extensive knowledge of Supply Chain, Project Management & Change Management principles, with track record of delivery
    • Understanding of Submarines Supply Chain and critical internal and external interfaces
    • Comprehensive understanding of how the Supply Chain Function supports projects and people across the business
    • Effectively manage Projects, Programmes or Portfolios and provide guidance in those areas
    • Setting and delivering organisational strategy with a Supply Chain context
    • Establish and maintain strong customer and partner relationships (internal and external)

    Qualifications:

    • University level education or professional qualifications gained through industry. Minimum level six (eg BA hons, BSc hons), ideally level seven (eg MBA)
    • Project Management Chartership (APM ChPP) or appropriate equivalent with evidenced experience
    • Supply Chain qualification e.g., CIPS, CILT

    The Submarine Supply Chain team:

    Leading a team of six, delivering an exciting programme of things ‘People' for the Submarines Supply Chain Function of 600+, covering attraction, development, optimisation and retention of talent and supporting wider improvement initiatives as part of the Supply Chain Excellence organisation.
