    Salary: From £34,032 + Depending on skills and experience

    What you'll be doing:

    • Responsible for safe plant operation, maintain awareness of plant state and consequences of activities
    • Self-development and attending any mandatory training requirements
    • Carry out routine work with limited supervision and have an understanding of safety consequences in a high risk environment
    • Liaise/Interface with relevant stakeholders to ensure activities are undertaken in a safe and compliant manor
    • Instruct and mentor less experienced members of the team with your knowledge and competency
    • Represent the Company on Contractors Sea Trials and other outworking requirements
    • Deliver assigned activities in line with company policy, procedures, and legislation

    Your skills and experiences:

    • HNC in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
    • Experience in Commissioning and/or maintaining electrical, control, and instrumentation systems in a highly regulated industry
    • Working with high levels of detail recording and reviewing results
    • Ability to understand complex EC&I systems i.e., drawings, diagrams, and procedures
    • Awareness of the process to commission a new facility
    • Knowledge and experience of Instrumentation Systems including Electrostatic Discharges, Low Voltage Control, Data Communications, and Fibre Optics

    The Reactor Test Section team:

    As the Senior Commissioning Engineer, you will be at the start of one the largest and most complex engineering programmes taken on nationally. It is an opportunity to work on first of class submarines, sharing your knowledge and mentoring less experienced engineers to help achieve our goals. You will also be involved in key event testing for Dreadnought on the new design of the reactor plant.
