    What you'll be doing:

    Your skills and experiences:

    • A sound working knowledge and experience of working with ABB (or other) industrial robotic systems, including fault finding, creating and running programs
    • Willingness and commitment to undertake training and courses relevant to the position
    • Ability to work as part of a team or independently as required and to communicate effectively
    • Awareness of off-line programming & simulation using Robot Studio or similar would be beneficial
    • Some knowledge of welding, particularly mechanized or automated, in relation to the fabrication of complex structures would be advantageous

    Robotic welding technicians are critical to the development of new production operators to undertake mechanised and state of the art robotic welding techniques which are currently being utilised in the production environment. Robot technicians must be willing to undergo extensive training in robotic programming and operation so they can provide support, guidance and coaching to various BAE manufacturing teams.
