Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that the programme(s) are defined, planned and delivered in line with MRM function goals and objectives
  • Conducting deep dive analysis into project rationale/outcomes ensuring deep understanding of what and why an initiative is being delivered
  • Leading autonomously programme working groups to ensure the integrity of each project is maintained, focusing on internal consistency, compliance, project governance and standards
  • Managing effectively the dependencies between the inter-linked projects/taskings ensuring that they each deliver the agreed outputs, both internal and external
  • Adopting a ‘hands on' approach in analysis data in order to identify trends and fact based reporting of status/progress
  • Working closely with the business areas in transitioning the project into BAU, supporting the realisation of benefits whilst maintaining operational stability
  • Managing risks to the project outcome overseeing risk remediation through to resolution, ensuring progress is reported to appropriate channels

    As a Barclays Model Risk Project Manager, you will be responsible for the creation and ownership of project plans. Tracking quantitative and qualitative data, you will report on progress and health on key Model Risk Management (MRM) change initiatives including commitments to Regulators (FRB, PRA etc). This role presents a unique opportunity to work directly with Senior Management across Model Risk (MD Level) and members of the Model Ownership Area (MOAs).

    What will you be doing?

    What we're looking for:

    • Experience in Delivering Large Projects, preferably from delivering technology

    • Excellent communication skills, with develop presentation skills

    • Demonstratable experience of dealing with large data sets, diving into data analysis with ability to summarise highly complex findings/analysis into simple terms

    • Experience in Risk or other parts of Investment Banks: ability to understand Risk and/or banking products and explain them at a high level

    Skills that will help you in the role:

    • In depth knowledge of project management concepts and approaches

    • Successfully delivery and experience of large IT programmes

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills particularly with getting message across succinctly

    • Demonstrable knowledge/experience of data analysis to support tracking quantitative metrics to measure progress
