  • Greeting visitors and ensuring hosts are aware of their responsibilities. Escorting visitors where required. Checking clearances in advance of their visits. Maintaining records of site visits for audit purposes.

  • Fulfilling the role of site Registrar, ensuring all protectively marked documents and media are registered and stored securely.
  • Investigating reported security incidents in a proportionate manner until a satisfactory conclusion is reached.
  • Supporting the Security Operations Manager and other team colleagues as required.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliant movement of protectively marked material in accordance with BT Policies and customer requirements.
  • Support with local security communications, briefings, education and awareness.
  • Producing security passes for new joiners as needed.

An allowance of £5k per annum may be payable monthly while you hold this DV and continue to work in a role that requires that level of security clearance. The terms of this allowance will be made available if you are successful in being recruited into this role.

    Why this job matters:

    This role is to support the Security Operations function on the site. The post holder is required to manage the front reception desk to provide a security service to the site to include management and escorting of visitors; providing security briefings to cleared employees; fulfilling the role of Site Security Manager to ensure security compliance and reporting of security incidents and breaches; fulfilling the role of site Registrar for all documents or other media; triaging of reported security incidents and to support the Security Operations Manager and team as required.

    What you'll bring:

    • A background in security related functions is desirable and DV clearance is required.
    • You will need to be highly organised, professional, and a positive ambassador to the organisation.
    • Must obtain and retain a Developed Vetting clearance and maintaining your security clearance is a requirement of your role.
