    JOB TITLE: Technical Lead - IAM Lab

    SALARY: £85,00.00 - £110,000.00 GBP

    LOCATION(S): Leeds, Halifax, Edinburgh or Manchester

    HOURS: Full time

    WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site.

    The Lab Engineering Lead is an inspirational leader who works collaboratively with other Lab roles to build empowered teams that are motivated to tackle business problems and realise value to customers through excellence in execution. The role will work alongside the Lab PO in crafting the vision for the Lab, and as a result centre on setting the strategic direction for the engineering teams to demonstrate thought leadership on contemporary technical delivery, across the entire lifecycle, from idea to realisation of value.

The Engineering Lead is a transformational leader who works collaboratively with platforms to ensure standard methodology for Engineering to deliver business outcomes and realise value to customers through excellence in execution. As a highly skilled member of our wider Engineering leadership team we expect you to demonstrate and apply outstanding engineering practices and skills as well as mentor and champion the talent at all levels of the engineering community!

    Skills and experience we'd like to see:

    • Very strong solution, deployment, and delivery experience in complex environments, along with knowledge of modern software development toolsets including DevOps Continuous Integration, and Delivery.
    • Skilled at data driven decision making, with a focus on all risk, governance, conduct and control requirements and of using the context of these in decision making around technology.
    • Able to influence key partners from platform to executive level within a divisional operating model. Able to use storytelling with data to drive the best decisions.
    • Experienced collaborator. Confirmed ability to influence multiple internal and external contacts (suppliers, regulators etc) to ensure progression of key business decisions.
    • Adept communication skills to communicate complex messages and tell a compelling story – using these skills to anticipate challenge to resolve complex issues and conflicting requirements.
    • Encouraging advocate of the Communities of Practice, Guilds and Working Groups and participation of engineers within team.
    • Show the ability to effectively and inspirationally lead and develop colleagues. Cultivate a learning organisation approach, coaching and mentoring and supporting the team to be their best.
    • Deep knowledge of the competitor landscape, and emerging products and technologies.
    • Demonstrate and role model financial accountability and efficient management of all Group resources.

    Essential skills you must have for success in this role:

    • Experience of Cyber Security, specifically Zero Trust, Identity Security, Access Management, Privileged Access, Cloud Access Management and MFA solutions.
    • Significant experience in agile methods and tooling e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Jira and Confluence, and experience of leading and working in Agile.
    • A robust and excellent knowledge and understanding of multiple engineering and design solutions technology; to be agnostic and adaptive in your approach.
    • Experienced in providing technical guidance and people leadership across multiple cross skilled teams, including shown experience of running technical service.
    • Extensive experience and technical modern engineering knowledge from implementation of a broad range of platforms.
    • Well versed in technical architecture principles and deep experience of systems architecture and integration (including with third parties) and skilled at ensuring we Evergreen modern technology.
    • Demonstrable evidence of building strong, positive relationships to enable close and productive work within LBG and key suppliers.
