    HOURS: Full-time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

    About this opportunity

Our Data-centres are the nerve centre of the organisation and where we host the banks most critical applications. LBG has taken the decision to build a pioneering datacentre to provide us with a right sized, modern and sustainable hosting location for the next 20 years and beyond.

To help us achieve this, LBG are looking to appoint a Senior Infrastructure Solution Architect with a passion for making a difference! Someone who can combine technical knowledge and analytical skills to visualise the bigger picture and help design our future hosting capabilities.

What will you be doing with us?

We believe that people don't fit succinctly into roles and above all, we value everyone's individual skills, experience, and knowledge.

    Your role will include:

    · Creating positive relationships with Enterprise Architecture, ensuring design decisions are aligned with overarching enterprise architectural standards and strategies

    · Collaborating and leading with our platform teams to support the development and integration of roadmaps, defining migration methodologies to facilitate the movement of applications and infrastructure to the new datacentre

    · Gaining a deep understanding of LBG environments and the systems integration challenges facing major transformation and migration initiatives

    · Operating at an architectural level but also knowing how to design and deploy infrastructure change

    · Working with technical delivery managers to support planning, costing, and brokering the interaction with SME's

    · Translating the complex and ambiguous requirements into clear and concise designs

    · There will also be multiple elements of risk, compliance, and governance within the role, and you can share your knowledge to help deliver the best technical solutions for complex and significant business needs.

    Why Lloyds Banking Group

Like the modern Britain we serve, we're evolving. Investing billions in our people, data and tech to transform the way we meet the ever-changing needs of our 26 million customers. We're growing with purpose. Join us on our journey and you will too.

    What you'll need

    · Strong organisational, analytical and system thinking skills

    · Understanding and experience of architecture analysis techniques and processes

    · Understanding and experience in systems and software engineering design across the whole lifecycle

    · Understanding the Principles of Secure by Design

    · Experience of Agile Development Principles and Methods

    · Familiarity with DevOps and DevSecOps practices, processes, and toolsets

    Technical Skills and Knowledge

    · Mainframe technologies including IBM (International Business Machines) System Z, Unisys Dorado & Unisys Libra

    · Midrange technologies including IBM Power Series (System I & System P), HP-UX & Sun Solaris

    · Distributed / X86 technologies including Windows, RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) & Containers - both virtualized and Physical

    · Hybrid and Public Cloud

    · Traditional On Prem hosting and Cloud hosting (On -Premise and Off-Premise)

    About working for us

And it's why we especially welcome applications from under-represented groups. We're disability confident. So if you'd like reasonable adjustments to be made to our recruitment processes, just let us know

We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:
