    OB TITLE: Quality Engineer

    SALARY: £45,954 - £51,060

    LOCATION(S): Edinburgh

    HOURS: Full time

    WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our Edinburgh site.

    Working within the Protection Platform you'll be part of a team working towards delivering digital journeys to our customers. The Platform's purpose is to create an industry leading experience to help our customers with their insurance needs.     The role of the Quality Engineer will be to ensure our products meet the highest quality standards through the efficient use of test automation, attention to detail, Agile delivery, and a focus on the customer.

    What will you be doing with us?

    • Undertake (functional and non-functional testing of software changes to deliver products that are fit for purpose and meet the quality expectations of our customers.
    • Use/gain experience of modern software development toolsets and demonstrate the ability to stretch into DevOps, Continuous Integration and Delivery pipelines.
    • Using toolsets such as Webdriver IO, Nodejs (SuperTest/SuperAgent), Postman/Insomnia, non-functional test tools, continuous integration tools, with a focus on industry leading and open-source tooling.
    • Willingness to implement "Automation first" approach in every phase of software delivery process that aids speed to market, better quality and reduces risks.
    • Work in cross-disciplinary feature teams delivering exciting customer driven solutions and high-quality software.
    • Work in a highly collaborative way to complete assigned work, showcase progress and address problems that are well defined, complex, and often non-routine.
    • Work "hands-on" alongside all other Engineering Disciplines

    What you'll need:

    • Experience in testing with a good knowledge of Test Lifecycle, Test Models, Best Practices, Test Benchmarking and Test Tools. This includes a good awareness of Test Data and Environments.
    • Experience any of the following toolsets would be an advantage - Webdriver IO, Nodejs (SuperTest/SuperAgent), Postman/Insomnia, non-functional test tools, continuous integration tools; with a willingness to learn and develop those skills that will be needed for success in the future.
    • Showcase excellent interpersonal and communications skills whilst expertly working across the project lifecycle to ensure software operates as intended.
    • Be a quick learner with a growth mindset adapting to new technologies being used within Lloyds and the wider industry whilst bringing those around them on the same journey.
    • Significant problem solving, fixing and analytical skills.
