Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the highest levels of customer service and delivery, discussing markets, their issues, and opportunities with prospective and existing customers
  • Achieving independently personal objectives and assisting in achieving team targets, deepening the relationships we have with customers
  • Delivering high quality bespoke investment and planning advice, maximising value for customers, ensuring investments are invested in line with customer needs
  • Understanding the risks associated with investment products; in particular, the relationship between customer attitudes to risk and the suitability of financial products
  • Utilising fully and engaging the Wealth Manager toolset, systems and platforms, and challenging current standards to continuously improve quality
  • Engaging with digital technologies, products and solutions that are relevant to the Wealth proposition and can use them to enhance the service provided to clients
  • Acting as a key contact and recognised as an expert for all Wealth Proposition products e.g., Banking and Credit
  • Acting as the key liaison between the customer and other parts of the Barclays group

    This role is deemed as a Certified role under the PRA & UK Financial Conduct Authority - Individual Accountabilities Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.

    As a Barclays Wealth Manager, you'll join a team of specialists within Private Bank & Wealth Management, helping clients create financial plans for their future through a full-service offering, including financial planning, investment management, lending, banking and cash management. As a trusted adviser, you'll have the chance to understand customers' needs and long-term goals, providing investment and planning advice to work towards their financial and lifestyle ambitions, partnering with the Wealth Planner when detailed needs are identified.

    What will you be doing?

    • Acting as a key contact and recognised as an expert for all Wealth Proposition products e.g., Banking and Credit

    • Acting as the key liaison between the customer and other parts of the Barclays group

    What we're looking for:

    • A financial planning qualification with a minimum of Level 4, and satisfaction of the FCA criteria for an approved person both initially and ongoing

    • Appropriate technical/product knowledge of pensions and Investment Advice in the UK and a good understanding of the current UK taxation system

    • Experience of controlling and monitoring risk within a client book

    • Broad experience of the Financial Services industry, particularly in the areas of Retail regulated products/service to mass market and asset management

    Skills that will help you in the role:

    • Experience of building a customer base using internal and external networks

    • Excellent social and communication skills

    Hemel Hempstead is a town in the Dacorum district in Hertfordshire, England. It is 24 miles northwest of London. Set right in the heart of Hertfordshire with easy road and rail links, the office is conveniently located close to many shops and restaurants. Hertfordshire as a County is situated immediately North of London and is the main operational and/or headquarters UK site of some very large employers.
