    Within HSBC Market & Securities Services (MSS) we are a specialized team providing leading ESG solutions to our clients, supporting HSBC's net zero ambitions and embedding sustainability into the core of how we do business in MSS.

    We are currently seeking a professional to join our team in the role of: Associate Director – Global Sustainability Solutions. This is a GCB4 level role.

    The role will be in a front office environment and will require partnership across multiple internal stakeholders such as Sales, Trading, Research, Legal and Compliance to drive the delivery of sustainability solutions for our clients.

    In this role you will:

    • Provide advice and transaction support to our global Sales and Structuring teams across all asset classes in order to deliver ESG and sustainability solutions for institutional and corporate clients

    • Drive and support the development and expansion of MSS ESG and sustainability suite of products and services working with internal and external partners (e.g. structuring teams, index and data providers)

    • Provide subject matter expertise for an internal and external audience

    • Collaborate with internal and external partners on thought leadership events for clients on key sustainability topics and themes

    • Represent MSS at internal and external/industry forums and working groups

    Requirements

    • Commercial experience with an ability to articulate financial market products to clients

    • Critical thinking about financial markets and sustainability issues

    • Prior experience or proven interest in ESG / sustainable investing (ESG data, ESG regulation, climate science, energy transition etc.), sustainable finance, financial markets

    • Intellectual curiosity and strong written and oral communication skills

    • Adaptability across a wide range of sustainability related topics (e.g. greenwashing risk, climate risk, ESG regulations)
