    JOB TITLE: IT SOx Control Testing Manager

    LOCATION(S): Birmingham, Manchester, Edinburgh, Bristol and Halifax

    Salary: £62,000 to £75,000

    Hours: Full time

    WORKING PATTERN: Two days per week (or 40% of your time) at one of our offices listed above.

    We're looking for a Sarbanes Oxley (SOx) IT & Cyber Controls Testing Manager to join our newly formed Group COO (Group Chief Operating Office) Chief Controls Office. LBG are in the middle of one of the UK's largest financial services transformations to ensure we remain relevant for our customers today and tomorrow. To do this we need to do move at pace to reach the right customer outcomes in the quickest and safest way possible.

    The Chief Controls Office is a key enabler in the Group's Enterprise Risk Management transformation to mature our approach to risk & control, upgrade the Group's future risk management capabilities through an automated, digital, data-led risk & control service to allow the business to transform safely at pace.

    The Group COO Chief Controls Office will achieve this through developing the divisional control environment to support robust management of risks, owning, building and enhancing control capabilities at pace and ensuring Group COO meets its regulatory and operational risk objectives within stated risk appetite through effectively designed controls.

    The Chief Controls Office will work collaboratively across the division to support accountable executives, risk and control owners in discharging their first line risk ownership accountabilities and will provide a first line centre of excellence that supports safe growth and enables high quality customer service.

    You'll contribute towards the delivery of high quality and value adding testing and assessment activities related to IT General Computing Controls (GCCs), supporting Lloyds Banking Group's SOx management assurance programme.

    What would you be getting involved with?

    You'll report to the IT SOx Controls Testing Senior Manager and will:

    • Conduct IT controls testing activities in areas such as Privileged Access Management, Change and Release Management, Incident Management, IT Operations, Cloud and Resiliency.
    • Evaluate and assess the design and operating effectiveness of IT Controls and their impact on the associated IT risks.
    • Manage testing progress for your assigned controls and update senior audiences about progress and results.
    • Assist management to determine appropriate actions required to remediate control deficiencies identified from testing.
    • Assist in scoping, planning and scheduling of IT Control Testing activities.
    • Support risk/control owners to understand their SOx responsibilities and enable timely delivery of the annual attestation process.
    • Adopt a continuous improvement mentality, seeking opportunities to provide greater assurance over the effectiveness of risk and control management in an efficient and robust manner, promoting and employing greater use of data analytics to achieve this.

    About you...!

    • Have significant experience and knowledge in having tested technology, and cyber security controls, both in the cloud and on-premise.

    And the essential skills/background you'd possess?

    • Extensive relevant experience in IT Risk Management, IT Internal / External audit or an accountancy/consulting firm ideally focused on Financial Services.
    • Proven knowledge of SOx methodology frameworks.
    • Proven UK Sarbanes Oxley (SOx) IT Controls Testing experience.
    • Solid understanding of the information technology risk and controls inherent in various technologies (e.g. Cloud, Mainframe) and related security standard methodologies.
    • A good understanding of various Information Technology Assurance Frameworks (COBIT, ISO27001, ITIL, NIST etc.) and of current and emerging technology trends would be very useful. Similarly if you're qualified in CISA and have any additional qualifications (e.g. CISSP/CISM and CRISC) these would be beneficial.
