    You'll have an impact on bringing digital-first banking to our customers by defining the future state architecture vision and strategies for our Global Businesses and Global Functions.

    You'll be developing business, data, software, and integration architecture standards to manage processes, systems, and technology complexity across the HSBC Group. Through dynamic, agile collaboration you'll work closely with business partners to translate their requirements into integrated solutions that can be deployed globally using consistent service patterns for ease of deployment, support, and enhancement.

    The Technology Architecture function sits within Technology and its mission is to ‘Guide the HSBC Group to Build the Right Technology in the Right Way'.

    The Platform Architect for Service Management is part of a team of Service Management architects aligned to the Chief Technology Office (CTO) who create and maintain an intelligently connected ecosystem of complementary technologies that enable our business.

    In this role you will:

    Requirements

    To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

    • Experience of industry standards tools supporting Service Management, Event Management and Asset Management (e.g. ServiceNow, Splunk, Microfocus UCMDB / Universal Discovery, xMatters).

    • Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences including senior executive management.

    • Ability to compare and contrast different solutions to meet a business requirement (preferable experience of supporting and designing on-premise, public cloud, externally hosted and SaaS solutions).

    • Proven ability to translate business needs into appropriate technology solutions.

    • Able to explain technical complexity to a non-technical audience.

    • Experience in IT within a complex global organisation (preferably in a highly regulated industry such as Financial Services), and the Architecture, Engineering or Process disciplines within it.
