This position is a key role in the NSE communications team, reporting directly into the Director of NSE communications. This team looks after communications governance, firmwide communications, business and offerings communications, transformation and functions communications, external communications and risk matters, and NSE partner engagement milestones.

You are a subject matter expert on communications and have a deep understanding of our firm and our business. That means you easily position yourself as a strategic advisor to some of our senior leaders, combining both knowledge of communications governance, strategy, and execution and the ability to shape and build a team, defining resource requirements and building business cases, and getting buy in from relevant stakeholders.
You understand change and transformation and what this means as a specific capability within the wider communications landscape, the relationship between good communications and successful change, and how to consider this across organisation, system, process, and people aspects.
You're a natural at building effective relationships with stakeholders, working closely with teams across all dimensions in NSE (geographies and countries, businesses, industries, enabling functions). You enjoy the variety of people you need to build relationships with, and can tap into a firmwide, MDM perspective of the firm to relate to their context and respond to their requirements.
You're a confident and approachable leader who can operate in a multidimensional environment, with people part of your team in different capacities and from different backgrounds – whether that is a multi-country, hybrid working environment or a mixture of permanent team members and flexible short-term resource. You will manage a team of communication professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure the team's success.

Personal independence
Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm). You'll be based in one of our UK locations with hybrid working. Our hybrid model enables our people to collaborate, connect and innovate in both a virtual and physical capacity. As well as remote working, you'll attend your local office, virtual collaboration spaces and client sites, depending on the requirements of the role.
