Responsibilities

  • Leading the development of the NSE Enterprise Architecture strategy and roadmap, mapping the current state business and technology architectures for NSE geographies, with growing emphasis upon global and regional alignment and define the target state business, enterprise and applications architectures.
  • Help the business make more well-informed decisions about where and how they spend their change capacity, influence the planning, budgeting, and ongoing investment processes to move the organisation closer to an aligned NSE future state architecture that delivers against the vision and that improves user experience, is more effective, cost efficient, agile, sustainable, resilient and secure.
  • Support your team in the development (and in some case, ownership) of high-level business cases (HLBC's) for innovative solutions focused on business outcomes aligned to overall strategy, through governance for acceptance into the sponsored Portfolio of Change.
  • You and your team will keep a watching brief and governing role on initiatives, as they flow through the waterfall and agile change lifecycles through design, build, test and implementation. You will operate the BAU and executive level design authorities that signs-off on the detailed design, adherence to standards and other non-functional requirements (NFR's).
  • You and your team will develop and maintain, on at least an annual basis, the Strategic Technology Roadmap across all technology domains.
  • You will act as an authority in Enterprise Architecture, promoting best practices in design and governance to improve the probability of success in our business, agility, risk, user experience and sustainability.
  • Establish strong partnerships with business and IT stakeholders from a wide range of Deloitte organisations globally and collaborate with other functions to “bring” Enterprise Architecture thinking and influence into discussions about the future technology landscape, as well as the annual planning cycle. Also bring your own thoughts about potential initiatives that will lead us closer to the future state architecture.
  • Work with CISO function to ensure solution designs meet both Global, regional and local security policies and standards.
  • Manage a diverse team within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution and be an advocate for their professional development.

    We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and inspirational Head of NSE Enterprise Architecture. You will lead an established, high performing team of Enterprise Architects committed to identifying and implementing innovative technologies to ensure that Deloitte remains the leading global provider of audit and assurance, consulting, financial advisory, risk advisory, tax, legal and related services.

    The successful candidate will be accountable for nurturing the Member Firm's strategic technology roadmap across the classical Enterprise Architecture domains, including Business, Applications, Infrastructure, Cyber, Methodology and IT Service Management. You and your team will work closely with business representatives and directly influence the direction and high-level design of strategic solutions, as well as the strategy, roadmap and future state architecture of our enterprise technology landscape.

    Essential skills and experience:

    • Experience of successfully leading a team of high performing experts, helping them grow and develop their craft, advance in their careers, and deliver against the strategic objectives of the firm; leading the way in collaborative development of roadmaps and strategic solution design.
    • Highly developed stakeholder management, communications and influencing skills with the ability to engage, collaborate, manage and affect technical and non-technical stakeholders up to and including C-Level; able to confidently present in a dynamic environment.
    • A desire to continually learn and pro-actively keep up to date with the emerging technologies and trends that can be introduced and leveraged to the benefit of the firm.
    • Able to document and diagram high level solutions, roadmaps and strategies.
    • Knowledge and experience in Enterprise Architecture. Experience utilising, not necessarily with accreditation, in one or more of the classical EA Frameworks, e.g. TOGAF, DODAF, Zachman.
    • Good working knowledge of the pros, cons and applicability of various technology domains including: public/private cloud, networking, end user devices, directory services, application development (agile/non-agile) etc

    Desirable:

    • Experience in leading a geographically diverse virtual team and working across multiple geographies.
