The role of real world data (RWD) in R&D activities is rapidly increasing in importance. There are an ever-growing number of databases and data available and technology is enabling new ways in which to interrogate such databases. In addition, computing power as well as advances in methodology have enabled new approaches for answering ever-more-complex questions of RWD (e.g. machine learning).
Regulators expect the use of RWD during clinical development and for post-approval safety assessment and are increasingly open to considering use of RWE for regulatory decision-making to support medicine and vaccine approvals. In addition to these externally driven opportunities, new applications exist internally for use of RWD e.g. clinical trial design, feasibility, planning and operations.
As a result GSK is looking to bring on board an experienced real world data and analytics leader to lead our efforts within this space. In this highly visible and critical role you will be responsible for setting the strategy for the purchase and utilization of real world databases across all areas of R&D and relevant medical & commercial activities. You will also look to drive the technology business requirements to support easy access to and usage of RWD by relevant stakeholders across the company. Further, you will ensure world-class capability within the RWDA team to drive the use of robust and cutting-edge analytics for RWD.
As the VP, Real World Data and Analytics you will also work closely with senior stakeholders across the broader organisation and play a leading part in conversations around the strategic use of RWD as well as good analytic practices.
To apply please submit a CV and cover letter by Tuesday 30th April 2024.
